Toyota Commercial Finance (TICF), a subsidiary of Toyota Industries Global Commercial Finance, Inc. is a leading provider of financial services, offering an extensive line of financing products to Toyota and Hino customers through participating dealers across the United States.
Our primary focus is to provide flexible and proactive financing solutions to help meet the changing needs of the industry. As one of our initiatives, TICF has partnered with a local DFW Toyota Forklift dealer to create a National Off Lease Equipment Center e-commerce website for the sale, lease or rental of pre-owned late-model used material handling equipment.
A Bright Future Tied to Our Proud Past
Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) was first established by Sakichi Toyoda in 1926 as Toyota Automatic Loom Works, Ltd., to manufacture and market the automatic loom he invented to make his mother’s life as a weaver easier. From the loom, TICO expanded into automotive engines and built its first prototype of a passenger car and truck in 1935. In 1956, TICO introduced its first forklift model and by 1985, TICO’s production had reached 500,000 units. Our company was created that same year as a small finance division within Toyota Financial Services with less than 10 associates. Since then, we have grown to more than 200 associates providing world-class service to 300+ Toyota and Hino Truck dealers. In 2015, TICO purchased the commercial finance department from Toyota Financial Services and its parent company, Toyota Motor Credit Corporation, and established Toyota Commercial Finance to help expand their leadership position in forklift sales in North America and around the globe. So while our name is new, our team and our business is not. Like our fellow Toyota companies, Toyota Commercial Finance is anchored in what we call the Toyota Way. The Toyota Way is based upon two key pillars: Respect for People and a commitment to Continuous Improvement ("Kaizen" as the Japanese call it). That strong foundation, along with the backing of a world-class brand like Toyota, gives Toyota Commercial Finance the freedom to chart its own course, to innovate and to take risks. And it gives our associates the unique opportunity to be part of building something new while we grow and learn together.
